Hacienda Magdelina is a coffee plantation run by a collective on the side of Mt. Maderas. They process their own beans and sell them to a partner company in Seattle. The profits are shared by the community.

Magdelina also has rooms to stay in. And a kitchen. And a fantastic porch, with hammocks, that faces Mt. Concepcion. The night we stayed there, there was a beautiful, fiery sunset.
