My
brother, Josué (Josh) lived in the town of La Trinidad (which
is a twenty-minute drive south of Estelí). La Trinidad got
its name from the three hills which surround the town.
La
Trinidad is a bread-making town. Most of the people in the town
who earn a living earn a living by selling the bread they make or
b delivering bread around the area in trucks. Other people live
off the money their relatives in America send. Early in the morning
the sounds of the trucks mix with roosters, squealing pigs, and
ranchero music to wake us up.
