About
I Was Once a Child I WAS ONCE A CHILD I first did this image as a collage. I took an image of the nuclear outfitted figure from a magazine and cut it up. I used a white out pencil to make it look less photographic. I then scanned a baby picture into my computer and printed it out and pasted it into the collage. The whole thing was run through a zerox machine onto a sheet of acetate. I then scratched the words out of the zerox and exposed the whole image to Imagon. It was then etched. The image was printed and the baby's face hand colored. For full instructions on the use of Imagon please go to Printmaking Links and Keith Howard's website. All images copyright 1998© G. Malin
