The Great Personality
Mr Upadhyaya  was born in the year 1964 at Moodubelle of Udupi Taluk. Ours is a family of artists. I am climbing the steps of achievements in the field of drawing and painting.I decided to continue my studies in drawing and painting.
I joined the Govt. Service as a drawing teacher in 1988. I served for 3 years in Govt. Pre - University College, Mangalore.I have been training the students in Drawing, Painting and Handicrafts in the schools where I have been working. Besides I have been training and presenting talented students for the drawing grade examinatons conducted by the Government. (We have been getting cent pecent result every year so far).
I have organised a " Drawing Club" in the school and I have been conducting activities through it throughout the year. The pupils have been encouraged to prepare creative artistic articles, handiwork articles, models for Science lessons and at the end of the year an exhibition of such articles is held.
Educational Departmental officials, Art Inspectors who visited the school have appreciated the activities of the club. There I was able to win the 'Best Teachers Award', in 1993. I am also a member of the "Artists Forum" of Udupi and the treasurer of the "Art Teacher's Association, D.K. District.
I am well-versed in all types of  Drawings, but I have become famous for my "one lined" drawings. One line drawings of  Gods, Goddesses. I have also won certificates from our Prime Minister, President, King of Nepal, Dr. Nelson Mandela and other on presenting their one line portrait.
I have also become famous in drawing the pictures of  Gods and Goddesses in orthodox style. Those drawings and paintings can be seen in temples at Udupi and its neighbouring places. I am proved of painting pictures for the temple cars of some temples (They can be seen in Shri Vishweshwara temple, Yellur, Shri Mahalakshmi temple, Bagwadi, Kundapura, Shri Gopalakrishna temple, Uppinakuduru, Kundapura. I have won great administration for them.
I am well-versed in drawing portraits, dot-drawing,  modern drawing and design making. I have also trained myself  in clay and cement modelling.I have been making the idols of Ganapathy,Sharada, Navadurga.
I have been honoured by a number of organisations in recognition of my service and achievements in the field of  art. The District Rajyothsava Samithi has honored me by awarding the " Rajyothsava Prashasti ". Many renowed persons have given me testimonials and certificates.
