The colours in my paintings are based on hourly changes in my surroundings, sometimes appearing vividly different from the original.
The phenomenon of the Blue Mountains, the subtle vapours from the gum trees have the tendency to change the appearance of the colours, especially when the sun rays penetrate through distant smokes from the bush fires and the fog.
The consistent tinge of the mist rising through the valleys and gorges is adding other dimension to them, making the colours vibrant, sometimes overdramatic, almost surreal in appearance.
My paintings are not of the moment, more like walk through time...
