Bio-Data of Sri. M.K. SUNKAD BRIEF INTRODUCTION:- Sri Sunkad was born in the year 1930 at Hubli. After his Primary Education he stayed at Sri Jagaguru Moorusaveermath, Hubli and had all the facilities by the grace of the Swamiji. ACADEMIC CAREER:- Passed the S.S.L.C. Examination in the year 1953. Later on as a result of his aptitude and encouragement by his well wishers. He joined the school of Art. Studied under the above guidence of Dr. M.V. Minajgi A.R.C.A., (London) a renowned artist and art educationist. Sri Sunkad gained much knowledge in the field of Fine Art. Studied in the school of Art, Dharwar for one year and got the Drawing Teachers Training under the above guidence of Sri D.V. Halabhavi, the founder of the school of Art, Dharwar. Passed D.T.C. Examination from Sir J. J. School of Art, Bombay in the year 1955, and got Art Master and Diploma in Drawing and Painting in the year 1964. PROFESSIONAL

Shri. M. K. Sunkad is one of the
comming up artists of Karnataka. His work of Art is varied and illuminating. His work
covers sketches, compositions and land scapes each one I was much impressed by the natural way of expressionin painting with brush and knife. It is the manifestation of inspiration on the spot. Shri Sunkad is an Artist of great impression. His experiments in the field also appear to be seasoned. Already he has organized his
exhibitions in different parts of the country. Art knows no barriers. I am sure with his
variety in paintings, he contributes a lot towards the cultural unity of the country.
