I have photographed myself, my wife, friends and hired models seeking new ways to make images for over thirty years. Exploring various techniques, both in making the image and in creating a unique print, I keep seeking to find expressive ways to make my statement. While in graduate school at the Art Institute of Chicago, I began photographing the nude in the landscape and when the weather turned cool, I continued to photograph in the studio. This is still the way that I work. This series of MEGAN was shot over a couple of years in the studio, where I explored various props. I like the diptych form where there are two moments in time and an image is created by the changes. This series is sensual and psychological. |
