Edge of Pride

Oft named hero, for peace he longs, but a steed of war he rides upon
A clock work knight, a blade of pride, a jagged edge for phantom crimes
For the love of life, or the fear of death, or the want for the caress of silken breath
An oath of blood, a dire pact, sentence for life, an undeniable fact
You can't back down, never run, when your life is lived under a sanguine sun
A spiral staircase, going down, crimson honor staining the ground
Sharpened shadows divide two skies, a victory so hollow, when the prize is to die
You can't cry out, but in pain you writhe, with your throat slit wide by the edge of pride.

Embrace of the Shards

The shards, they rain.
Vengeful tears of a spiteful storm.
We are strong but they still cut us.
Crimson daggers, our souls bleed under their reign.
Our hope, our fear, our pride, our love…
They must mean something in the wake of the shards.
Do our accomplishments mean nothing?
Our souls blossom only to be cut down by them.
Are these dreams nothing but a harvest?
They must be something.
These dreams are all we have.
They must mean something.
I will not be a slave to these shards anymore.
These shattered pieces of pure unfeeling chill.
We have each other, what else is there?
Certainly not these shards.
These scythes that reap our emotions like so much corn.
Will someone help me stop them?
All I need is one person to help me stand.
Just one, to stop the shards.

Fear of Fire

Don’t fear this fire
Scream out your desire
It’s better not to fight
Run across red coals
As the way unfolds
Souls sear in candlelight
Let the heat build slow
Rising from below
Don’t let ashes blind your sight
Release your tears
Let go of your fears
And burn with me tonight
Burn with me
Do you fear my flames
Learn with me
It’s like a beast untamed
Yearn with me
Let it drive you insane
Burn…

Feathers

Feathers falling, I do surmise
Falling down from a red sunrise
With her words and winding rhymes
Softly singing, the angel reminds
Memories flood from the core
Happiness, I crave much more
Feathers falling, I feel their touch
Velvet visions almost too much
Sky blue eyes light the night
While bathed within her downy white
Lazing away, thoughts entrancing
Taunting touches, her ways romancing
Feathers falling like a joy tinted tear
Feathers of an angel I wish forever near

Glass

Breath blown ragged
Clear fogs white
Desperate gasping
Disturbs the night
Rose quarts cracking
It shatters sharp
Reflections are dimming
As perspectives warp
The allure of glass
A fragile fawn
The inviting touch
Brings feigning dawn
Hands reach forward
Just a lone embrace
For the sheer caress
Of its reflective lace
Despite fragility
Broken it appalls
It cuts like razors
When it finally falls

Goddess in Disguise

You hide your emotion behind sterile smiles
A sweet facade belies your striking wiles
Let out your laughs and tears, what’s inside is key
Release what you hide within, that’s what I need to see

Your flaws make you perfect
Your failings make you free
Your cynicism is mysticism
Your passion amazes me

Your sarcastic wit you have, its honey beyond all bounds
It underlies your sensual soul, defines poetic sounds
The beauty that I see in you, I wish that you could see too
See it with your own eyes, my goddess in disguise

Your flaws make you perfect
Your failings make you free
Your cynicism is mysticism
Your passion amazes me

The beauty that I see in you, I wish that you could see too
I see such love within your eyes, my goddess in disguise

Grievous

All alone
Nothing but cold stares and strange faces
Backs turned towards me
I plead, but nothing
Not even a smile
I know I can’t please everyone
Why do I even try
But now there is no one left
No one to heal but myself
To mend the rents in the fabric of my soul
Fluttering like the banner of a fallen kingdom
I don’t think I have the strength though
I can barely stand
But that’s to be expected
When you harm whomever you touch

Heart Shaped Hole

Hollow
A pain behind the eyes
Clutching a broken chest
Killing, inside out
A hole where once was a heart
A soul just slightly dead
Hands that embrace
Crush in their place
Thinking why
Simple mistake maybe
Failing senses flawlessly
Tears locked away
Some things hurt
This is just one of those things
Too bad I brought it on myself

Hebona

Kiss me
A scorpion’s kiss
Let your lips burn mine
Poison me
I want to feel your venom
To feel it run through my veins
Kill me
Over and over again
Your sweet poison that sets my mind afire
I want to taste it
Touch me
Rake your nails into me
Make me bleed
Make me feel alive
Then kill me again
Over and over for the first time
End my suffering
Kiss me
Kill me
