Everything shown here has been painted digitally with an electronic brush directly on the computer screen, and is NOT a digitally altered photograph.

Another of my model's pose. Have tilted the head and changed the eyes. With these subtle changes the mood of the model appears to now be quite quizzical.. Now to try another pose and again change the mood by altering the eyes.
This picture is being presented in a show this fall in Japan.

This picture was an experiment to test the addition of a model's face and bust over an image and background painted by John Hagan. Then adjusting the background colors and the dress colors to complete the modification.
The lady is my work, and for the remainder, the credits go to John.

The 'self portrait' shows me at work in 1998, using the tools and equipment that became outdated by advancing technology in one year.
Digital artists, 10 or 20 years hence, will marvel at the early works of digital painters who were limited by such primative tools.

  The 'Blue Heron' is an attempt to pick up some of the bird's reflection in the water. I began with an entire bird image showing in the water. The viewer will note how much of the image had to be reduced to make the picture look realistic.
 

The 'Fishing boat' picture attempts to illustrate that which is seldom done, which is, the relatively calm waters between each wave.
 

Patterned after the Haida canoe built by my friend Bill Reid. The Boat was 50 foot long and named 'Loo Taa' or Wave Eater. It was hollowed out of a single, red cedar log and was the first of its kind to be built in almost 100 years. I recall the old timers telling me about the swiftness and grace of these boats.
