Hello Everybody! Namaskaram! I am Sangeetha Menon. I work in National Institute of Advanced Studies( Bangalore-12, India) in the area of Consciousness Studies. I am a philosopher by training. I took my doctorate in "The Concept of Consciousness in the Bhagavad Gita" with a national fellowship, and then joined NIAS as a faculty in the Unit of Philosophy of Science and Consciousness Stuides. My colleagues come from different disciplinary backgrounds. I am very interested in looking at issues relating to human mind both from the perspectives of traditional Indian philosophy as well as contemporary interdisciplinary discussions on 'consciousness'. Both for my interests in 'consciousness studies' as well as creative art I am deeply inspired by and indebted to my spiritual Guru Swami Bodhananda. My ideas and their transformations into forms, I think, come from a space beyond generated by the discussions I have with my Guru. Hence I am a believer of 'forms with ideas' and 'ideas with forms'.
