Wishing
Wishing
I was invited to donate one of my paintings to the CENTRAL CALIFORNIA AIDS FOUNDATION for their annual "Big Deal Art Sale" last year and I struggled for months trying to figure out what to donate. I painted Wishing with the intention of donating it, but several people told me that it looks too sad. I ended up donating one of my cityscapes ("Downtown") because it evoked happier thoughts.

When it came time for donations again this year, I decided to donate Wishing afterall. I had had it hanging on my living room wall all year and every time I looked at it, I was reminded of all the things I'm thankful for and of all the things that still need our prayers. It seems a perfect donation for such a worthy cause.
